In this paper, an improved scheme of adaptive flux observer of induction motor is proposed. This adaptive observer is used with fieldoriented control of induction machine. It is based on using induction motor model with the estimation of the load torque besides the estimation of the stator resistance. The robustness of this observer with respect to the variation of the stator resistance. The performances of the proposed adaptive observer were compared to those of the classical one via numerical simulation. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
